Public History – Graduate Students

Graduate students may augment their advanced training in History with graduate-level courses in public history, digital history, oral history, and more. Students may also pursue Graduate Certificates in Museum Studies and Archival Studies.

Graduate students also have the opportunity to acquire professional skills in public history settings; the White House Historical Association in partnership with the UA Department of History, for example, offers an annual competitive, paid summer internship for graduate students. Students may additionally work with faculty on public-facing projects in their respective fields.

Students interested in enrolling, or learning more about the program, may contact Dr. Julia Brock for an appointment.
