Current Projects

  • My current research project focuses on AIDS boarding houses in Mississippi and the roles these houses played by serving the gay community. I also analyze the backlash and arguments against AIDS boarding houses. In this research I am drawing from the history of sexuality, environmentalism, urban studies, and the history of medicine to better understand community-maintained AIDS boarding houses.
