Congratulations to Dr. Lawrence Cappello, who garnered two major awards in 2021. He has won both the 2021 Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award and the 2021 John L. Blackburn Advisor of the Year Award. Dr. Cappello joined the faculty in 2018 as a specialist in legal history. Assistant Professor Lawrence Cappello‘s excellence in teaching and learning has been recognized by The University of Alabama Alumni Association’s 2021 Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award. Cappello is an assistant professor of U.S. Legal and Constitutional History and directs our Legal History concentration. The History Department is proud to congratulate Dr. James Mixson, winner of the 2016 Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award.
