On April 18, 2016, the Office of Student Involvement’s annual Service and Leadership Awards Ceremony named the Graduate History Association the Outstanding Professional Organization for 2015-2016 at the University of Alabama. Though the GHA does several things throughout the year, the awards committee was particularly impressed by their annual conference, which has truly been an impressive endeavor every year.

GHA president, Lindsay Smith thanked this year’s conference committee for their help with the conference and winning this award: Blake McKinney, Kari Boyd, Virginia Cain, and John Young, as well as the graduate students and faculty members who helped with the conference.
